Blossom and buttons

by Yvonne
This week has been a week of frantic preparations and last minute deliveries for The Great Create this weekend. I feel like my head is exploding and cannot contain anymore information. Even holding a proper conversation at times is hard.. I tend to trail off at the end of sentences………………..  without finishing them!! Know the feeling?? I found that popping off to the hairdressers for  bit of pampering works wonders!! However, when I got home, thinking that I would put the freshly washed washing on the line… I discovered that the little ball with the washing liquid in it … you know the one.. was still sitting on top of the machine… I had ‘washed’ the clothes without the washing liquid.. DOH!  Oh well…
Anyway, I do feel that I am getting there now and will be relieved when it all starts on Saturday and I can start to do what I really love doing which is meeting all you lovely people and sharing my passion.
I was thrilled to receive this parcel this week………

All those amazing colours and shapes… lots and lots and lots of  gorgeous bags of buttonny heaven!!
I also had these brilliant boxes come this week. I store all my beads in these and now my buttons. It means that I can see instantly all the colours and …. they just look fab.

The other evening I decided that I should really have some business cards to hand out to people.. I have had the cards from Vista Print before, but I really wanted something that would express me and be a little more interesting. I remembered that I had 1000’s of white luggage tags and surely I could do something with those. I printed labels with my name and address etc.. on them. Stuck them onto these tags and then decided that I could make them look even more interesting. So I spent a happy evening sticking buttons and ribbon onto the ‘cards’ and this is what I ended up with……

I am really pleased with them… I don’t think these are likely to end up in the bin do you?

Would you like another sneek peek of some new jewellery designs for the weekend?
This time the inspiration for the colours has come from all that gorgeous apple blossom that is exploding in all its pinky gloriousness at the moment

I think these beads look like space ships..

Putting the new buttons to use straight away..

I love this one… so flowery and girly..

More inspiration…

Ring ‘o’ ring ‘o’ roses….

Beautiful flowery earrings…

I am hoping that my ‘jelly head’ will sort itself out today. If not, I may just have to make the most of this gorgeous sunshine, make a cup of coffee and potter around my garden quietly muttering to myself… am I going mad?

Sending love and sympathy to those of you who, like me , have ‘jelly head’ syndrome today!! xxxx

    Very pretty jewellery.
I was hopeing to get along to the Great Create but I don’t think I will be able to. What a lot of pretty buttons, I love buttons, beads and ribbon, and I just love those labels. I love the girlie bracelet, now I would have loved to purchase that one.
Is that what it is called “Jellyhead Syndrome” I suffer from that, I blame the weather!

Sorry, I’m a bit behind, had one of those weeks!

Your jewellery is looking lovely and so beautifully inspired by the blossums. What a good idea using those little boxes, I was looking for some jars for my buttons, but might use something like those instead, they stack so much better.
