Spring collection

by Yvonne
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It was great to have the sun shining again, which meant that I was, at last able to take some photos of my new ‘Spring’ range of jewellery. You will see that I have been really inspired by the coily.. is that a word??. springy shapes of the new plants emerging….

… lots of coils and springy wire shapes in this lariat…

Look at these… aren’t they brilliant?

More coils and springs… the colours I have used all represent the shades of green that dominate spring..

I have been trying some new ways of photographing my jewellery and I am really pleased with the way that these have come out. I found a beautiful hat box in a shop in Totnes which I lay the jewellery on to and then, instead of photographing from the top so that you see the whole necklace, I have been experimenting with different angles which show off the detail and just give a hint of the actual piece.. what do you think? Am I on the right track?
I love this piece. I shaped some wire into a coil and then, using thinner wire and swarvoski crystals, I wrapped the coil until it was covered. It looks more effective in the flesh.. you will have to believe me, or come and see me at The Great Create.
Every waking moment is spent planning this event.. How to display the jewellery in a creative, imaginative way, what packaging to use, labels, cards, bunting, balloons, tables and chairs… there will be the opportunity to make button bracelets or beaded bracelets…  if you have any great ideas I would love to hear them – my mind feels like it’s going to explode!!
I love these bracelets…  they are so effective and can be made in any colour you wish…
I hope you have enjoyed your sneek preview.. if you see anything you like, please feel free to email me for details and prices. I’m off now to add more to the new ‘Apple Blossom’ collection.

Happy Monday xx

Hi, I just came across your blog whilst whimsically clicking and it’s beautiful. I love those button bracelets…I use heaps of vintage buttons (I’m afraid it’s becoming an addiction) and it’s sweet to see different applications. I’ll be back again soon, x
